Lily Nichols (Pilates Nutritionist) is seeking a nutrition intern to help with social media with a minimum commitment of 1 month at 5 hrs per week. This is an unpaid internship with the opportunity to grow into a paid position – perfect for dietetic students who desire experience in private practice, “real food” dietetics, or research-related career opportunities.
Location (virtual or in-person location): Virtual
Description: Your primary role will be to search interesting nutrition research (PubMed, Google Scholar) and compile short research briefs that can be shared on social media. Preference will be given to candidates who think outside the box and question mainstream nutrition dogma (i.e. looking beyond calories and outdated govt nutrition guidelines). Other opportunities include content and educational material creation (handouts, blog posts), recipe testing, food photography, and more.
Ideal candidate: Self-motivated, reliable. Must be familiar with Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest. Ideally, can create custom image graphics to accompany posts (using free tools like Canva or PicMonkey is fine), but not required. Blogging and WordPress background a plus!
